Radziejowa Observation Tower. A Panoramic Gem in the Heart of the Mountains
This impressive 22-meter-high observation tower stands proudly at the highest point of the Beskid Sadecki, surrounded by a dense forest that adds to its serene and mysterious charm. From the wooden viewing platform at the top, you can enjoy one of the most breathtaking views in southern Poland. On clear days, the panorama extends far and wide, encompassing the Beskid Wyspowy, Zywiecki, Gorce Mountains, Poprad Valley, and even the Tatra and Pieniny mountain ranges.
The current tower was opened in 2022 and features sturdy metal stairs and a spacious wooden terrace designed for safe and comfortable viewing. Informational boards are available to identify the peaks visible from the platform, helping you to orient yourself and fully appreciate the vastness of the landscape.
How to Reach the Observation Tower on Radziejowa?
Various hiking trails of differing difficulty levels can reach the Radziejowa Observation Tower. The easiest route is from Obidza Pass through Wielki Rogacz, which is ideal for families. This gentle trail offers stunning panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains, Pieniny, and Spiska Magura. It covers just under eleven kilometres in about three hours and has free parking at the starting point. For a more challenging experience, consider the trail from Rytro via Niemcowa. It features steeper ascents and takes about four and a half hours one way, with scenic rewards and an option to extend towards the mountain shelter at Przehyba. Regardless of the path you take, wear sturdy footwear and bring plenty of water, especially on warm days. The breathtaking views from the top will make your hike memorable.
